Production Engineering Is a Team Effort

Following R&D and product test, a new product or modification is put to the test of production feasibility. Can the product be manufactured economically and meet the required specification of performance? It is the responsibility of the production engineers, working with manufacturing and new tooling, to produce a product that not only performs, but one that can be produced economically - keeping us competitive, yet profitable, in the marketplace.

Ricardo Arevalo, based in Brea, California, was part of the team that developed Simpson's wood and Steel Strong-Walls®. He performed many hours of product testing before the product went to market.
